Sherwood Festival is one of the longest and most famous events in Italy: for 30 days every summer a car park is transformed in a living and free space, like a city in a city. During the last edition more than 150.000 people came to the festival. Its peculiarity and its strong point is the great variety of music and cultural events. It is a space where music, culture, sport, sociality and debates mix up and link together for the creation of something really special: Sherwood Festival.
This event is a living and free space where music, culture, sport, information and debates are a tool for closing the gap between different points of views and for showing, despite the many contradictions of our present, a new way of life, of being together, of looking at the world.
Since the first edition in 1990, a lot of artists known at national and international level played during the festival: Manu Chao, The Prodigy, Alice in Chains, NO FX, Die Antwoord, Public Enemy, Sepultura, Fatboy Slim, The Flaming Lips, Pat Metheny, Mogwai, Cypress Hill, Ska-P. Thanks to this campaign the 50% of the environmental impact has been reduced, compared to the previous editions. The winning of such a challenge has been possible also thanks to the help of the many people who came to the Festival (click here for more info).
